cells.item(...) is null or not an object

When I start Win XP SP2 I get to the welcome screen with no user names
displayed. I then press Alt+Ctrl+Del twice and type in the username and then
is able to login to Windows. When I go to user accounts in Control Panel I
get the error message cells.item(...) is null or not an object. When I go to
computer administration and then local users and groups there is no users
listed un der users but the groups is listed. I did a windows repair with no
luck. Please help?
