AS below - I bought and used a program called errorsmart. Once it had done its
work, I could not use my Desktop magic video editor. I obtained an update and
could not install neither 3.3 nor 4.4. The message was something like not being
able to write something to the register. I could not figure out what was wrong
but after a night sleep I came up with the idea of installing an Acronis Image
that I had before the errorsmart was put to use. That cured that trouble and I
managed to install the editor which was on a CD. The image was on a external
drive so also that installed nicely.
However I soon discovered that the Raid array and the CD drives were neither in
the explorer not in the disk manager.
I looked on the internet and found other people who had trouble with Roxio and
their CD's however that was dated 2002.
Being on my own I uninstalled Roxio and to make sure that all was right I saved
the Register and deleted the masses of Roxio information on the register. I had
previously done the same with ErrorSmart.
It brought my Array back and also my CD's. Sensing success I then installed
Roxio again only to lose contact with the CD's - Roxio is again uninstalled and
the computer is working but without Roxio which was working well before the use
of ErrorSmart and that really is the total explanation.
