Hello All,

I would be most grateful if someone could explain why I can't get the
Windows XP CD writing wizard to work. When I try to record anything to a
blank CD, the wizard goes through the motions so far as creating the image,
but as soon as it tries to write that image to the device, the Error message
appears [Can Not Complete the Writing Process.....] and I have noted that the
imapi service has been stopped.

So far, I have done the following:-

Switched imapi service from manual to auto and back - No change.
Checked the box in the harware properties, (enable writing on this drive) -
No Change.
Uninstalled other writing programs (Nero etc) - No change.
Checked device drivers etc. (No conflicts, device working properly)
Updated, uninstalled and reinstalled device drivers - No Change.
Checked registry entries including binary, all is OK - No change.

I have been visiting Microsoft update site and the knowledge base, searching
for an answerfor some time now, aswell as forums like this one, and so far
have drawn a blank, I am beginning to think that there is no fix for this
problem. This is my last ditch attempt to resolve the issue, before I destroy
my computer, spend the 5 and sixpence I have in my pocket and go swimming
with Lord Lucan.

ANY!!! ideas would be greatly appreciated

BOB
