i have a philips cdd 4801 cd rewriter and are having
problems with reading new cdrw discs. it will play audio
cds but when you try and burn onto a new disc it will not
read it please help

Is recording enabled?

In Windows Explorer, right-click the CD drive, click PROPERTIES|RECORD tab.
