CDRW/DVD Drive Problem

Hello!

Everytime I insert a blank TDK CDR disc on my LG 52X
CDRW/DVD drive, it recognizes as FULL, therefore cannot
write any more data on the disc. I thought there was
something wrong with the Nero 6 Ultra program that I was
using. So I check the disc properties using Windows XP
Explorer and the same thing happened, all the space were
used up. I am 100% sure that the CDR is blank since I
just purchased it. Can somebody help me with this? Is
this because I installed the HIMAT Windows XP update? Is
it because the CDR is old (compatible up to 24X)?
