My friend has an internal CDRW drive that the door keeps
opening and closing and won't accept CD's. She's cleaned
it and disconnected and reconnected it from inside the
PC. A lot of times upon booting up the system, the door
starts opening and closing. The CD drive is recognized in
My Computer and under Devices it says it's working
properly. Sounds like some kind of hardware problem as
opposed to software. Can you give any ideas on how to fix
this? Thanks!

"Replace it" is about the only "fix" if there is a hardware problem with
the drive itself.

Ahh, c'mon. There's a common virus/malware/spoofware that causes this
symptom.
