At times one of my CDRW drives will not eject. Even placing a paper clip
into the eject hole has no effect. I can reboot and everything is fine.
Any ideas of what might cause this. Seems to happen after I get an error
message ' media not valid' TIA

Time to consider replacing the drive itself. This problem appears to be
hardware and in the drive unit.
