I have a Toshiba laptop with a dvd-cdrw drive. when you insert a cd it runs
without problems. If you remove that cd and insert another it will show no
cd in the drive while you are changing them but when the new one is inserted
it will display as the last cd. Even if you double click on the cd it still
acts as if it is the last cd that was taken out. This had happened a year
ago and was able to stumble across some settings that allowed me to change
how it cached the disk but I can't find that menu again (it's not under
hardware - cd - properties, or the properties of the cd in my computer). The
menu had a "tree" view to it and you could expand the cd drive for more
options, and could even eject from there.
