I have a pavilion zt1195 laptop that will only play games
(i.e. The Sims, Age of Empires I/II/Mythologies, and CSI)
in a window about 3"x3" in the center of the screen. When
I change the in-game and desktop resolution settings the
best result i can get is a very distorted larger window.
Not to mention sound quality is extremely choppy and
video is low quality as well. HP Support concluded that
because dvds and cds play and sound fine on my comp and
because this problem occurs w/ all games it must be a
problem w/ Direct x. Any ideas(remember i've tried all
the basic troubleshoot stuff). Also dxdiag says "sound
card does not support hardware buffering" if that helps
any.
