cdrom drive not working

I think I've come across this same problem.

Instead of rebooting, open My Computer and select the
drive (CD drive for example). On the left-hand side, you
should see something that says "Eject this disk". When
you do this, it seems that Windows XP refreshes itself.

I had the same problem. Whenever I would load another CD,
it would still show the contents of the 1st CD. Let me
know if you still have a problem.
