hello all,
i have an HP ze5300 laptop with 2.2GHz and 512 of ram. it
has a CD read/write/DVD readable drive on it. the
nomenclature of this drive is a TEAC DW-224E.
The problem that i am having is that when i am using any
cd in the cdrom drive and then take it out and replace it
with another, it will still see the contents of the
previously inserted cd. i try to refresh it and it just
will not work. it will not see the contents of the new cd
i insert into the drive. this makes it hell to install
something that has more than 1 cd. the only way to get the
drive to see the newly inserted cd is to reboot the laptop
and this is of course unacceptable.
can anyone please shed some light on this for me? how can
i fix it without releading the OS?
