I had Windows 98 and had a lot of problems it is on a
compaq, so I now have XP Pro. In the process of having
some help me set it up XP, it appears to see the cd rom
as a ide-cd r/rw 4x4x24 and the dvd as dvd-rom dvd-114
but they only work as a cd player. the drivers I think
are xp's drivers. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
I know only a little but can get some help if needed.

Did you install the software that came with the drives?
