I reacently had problems with my hard drive and had it
replaced with a 120 gig. After 2 days of successfull use
of the CD drive I'm starting to have driver problems. I
was previously running XP Pro before it went in the shop
and now XP is saying that the driver is either missing or
corrupted. How can this be if Windows auto configures the
driver?? I have all the latest firmware updates and
Windows cant find a driver update.

Running XP Pro, Plextor PlexWriter12/10/32a ( I know... I
need a new one... I'm working on it ).

Any help in the mean time would be greatly appreciated.

"CD-ROM Drive or DVD-ROM Drive Missing After You Install Windows XP"

(There are other ways to get this error than with a new installation of XP.)
