using CDONTS I am having problems getting mail through to AOL users.

Are there any settings I should change in the mail to help it go through?

ISP says there is nothing they can do??

Thanks
M

Never had any problems using CDONTS, but it depends on how the script is written, can you post what
you are using?

Hi Metta,

I have seen it happen before..it is probably due to an AOL Mail Server or
the way the individual has their AOL email client configured. It's AOL's way
of thinking they are stopping SPAM. I cannot imagine how much legitimate
email is being lost to AOL users due to this! (Although to be fair..there
are other ISP's doing it too)

About all you can do for sure is to test to see if CDONTS and other mail
components are sending from the server. There's a couple really nice little
..asp files for testing mail and installed components on a server. In a zip
file located here:

I think John is right.
One really stupid thing AOL does is block any mail with links to certain
domains

I kept sending (requested, not spam) pricelists containing links to some of
my websites to AOL users. All of them bounced. So in order to "protect"
their customers they censor their emails.
Seems they don't like Lycos and block any mail with links to tripod pages
(my pricelists on that server)

I had to create a special form letter for AOL users, they can now link to a
"safer" Bellsouth page which has links to the other tripod pages.
