lasterHi PB, I sent for the Magix CD-Rom via an advert in a mag 2yrs ago. I've been using it on and off till recently with no problems. I uninstalled it along with some other apps recently as I thought my comp was a bit cluttered and running slow. I've added some physical memory(now at 384GB SDRAM), flashed the bios and updated a few drivers to 'breathe' more life into my 1.0Ghz Packard Bell. It's running like new again now, (I forgot to mention a re-install of XP pro to get rid of the 'detritus' that's accumulated over the last 2 yrs.)
I'm using Norton Systemworks, SBot-SD, SWare-Blaster, Bazooka, CWShredder,Webroot Spysweeper, Z-Alarm and Pop-up Stopper free edition. (Paranoid or what?)
Only the Webroot Spysweeper picks up on the Cdilla and quarantines it but the Magix still won't install after that.
I say won't, what I mean is ,it installs but when I try to open it , it asks for the 'Disc to confirm' blah, blah, then can't/won't recognise the disc on insertion.
If there's any clues there, can you help?
TIA
