Hi, my apologies if this is the wrong forum but I'm having trouble installing 'Magix, Audio Lab Delux'. I've installed the program but when I try to run it, it's telling me I need to replace the CD-ROM back in the drive to finish off the install.
When I do that, it runs the CD and then asks for it again as if it hadn't recognised the CD-ROM. I've had the program running in the past with no problems and uninstalled it when I wasn't using it for some time. Since the uninstal I've updated the bios and a few other drivers for audio. (Maybe this is the cause of the problem but how can I solve it.) Every time I try to install I get Cdilla as well, is this the culprit?
I'm using xp pro SP1

It looks like Magix products do include this "copyright protection
software". Where did you get this application? What anti-spyware
applications do you use, if any?

lasterHi PB, I sent for the Magix CD-Rom via an advert in a mag 2yrs ago. I've been using it on and off till recently with no problems. I uninstalled it along with some other apps recently as I thought my comp was a bit cluttered and running slow. I've added some physical memory(now at 384GB SDRAM), flashed the bios and updated a few drivers to 'breathe' more life into my 1.0Ghz Packard Bell. It's running like new again now, (I forgot to mention a re-install of XP pro to get rid of the 'detritus' that's accumulated over the last 2 yrs.)
I'm using Norton Systemworks, SBot-SD, SWare-Blaster, Bazooka, CWShredder,Webroot Spysweeper, Z-Alarm and Pop-up Stopper free edition. (Paranoid or what?)
Only the Webroot Spysweeper picks up on the Cdilla and quarantines it but the Magix still won't install after that.
I say won't, what I mean is ,it installs but when I try to open it , it asks for the 'Disc to confirm' blah, blah, then can't/won't recognise the disc on insertion.
If there's any clues there, can you help?
TIA
J.J.
