I don't know what happend or what I did but my cd rom
wont read or write it does have power and my recording
program's will open the drive door but when I put in a
disk to play music or to buirn I get a message
saying.........:windows cannot read from this disk. The
disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format
that is not compatible with windows:...........all my
progtams are compatible can anyone help me please

I know this doesn't help but I have the same problem and
despite posting the symptoms on this forum unfortunatley
no-one has been able to shed any light on it. If you
scroll back through the forum you'll notice that quite a
few people have stated that they have similair
problems.If you find any info with regards to a fix
please let me know. Thank - sl
