To drag-and-drop a file into the CD drive initiates CD
Writer Wizard which wants to work independantly of the CD
writer progrem (Roxio Easy CD).

Is there not a way to disable it. I belieive I would be
fine if it did not attempt to participate in the process.

Open Roxy or Nero & do it from there?

In "my computer", right click on your CD recording drive and click on
"recording" and uncheck the box where it says "enable CD recording on this
drive". That is it!
