CD writer Not working

Hi Does any one know how to re-install the Microsoft CD
Writer Driver ( Might be IDE Driver ).

I just created my System using a GA-7N400 Pro Gigabyte
Mother brd ..

And Installed the Systems Drivers which came with the
Mother Board.

Since doing this the CD writer has disappeared , and I
can't see it .

I believe the Gigabyte Driver CD has a bug and knocked
out the CD Writer .So I need to use the MS ones .
