CD WRITE WIZARD CAN NOT COMPLETE

When attempting a drag & drop write to CD R drive on y my Sony laptop GRX-
770, and clicking "write to cd" the following message appears.
"cannot complete cd writing wizard"
"device may no longer be available"

IF my memeory serves when I had this happen in the past once, it was asimple
Regedit??????

Anyone???
