I've looked around in programs, yet can't find another way to open it......???

I literally got this computer less than a week ago....(yet was opening and
shutting fine all day)

Grab a paper clip, and unwind it, and if you look at the from of the CD
drive, you will see a tiny hole. Push the paper clip in there, and the drive
will open...

If there's a pinhole next to the eject button,
you may be able to eject the CD by inserting
(e.g.) a paper clip. I'm just relaying what I
have read, so you should take care and do this
at your own risk, if at all. Read any manuals
you have, and contact your computer supplier
or manufacturer for help if you can.

Good luck,

R.

Another thing to try is powering off the computer and hitting the eject
button as it is powering on.
