I have downloaded and used the CD Slide Show Generator powertoy for years.
In the last several months, whenever I try to write pictures to a CD, I am
not longer asked to add the Picture Viewer to the CD. What happened? I
have uninstalled and reinstalled the powertoy several times.

What can I do? Are there any registry settings that I can modify to get it
to work again?

Click Start, Run and type:

regsvr32 slideshow.dll

Press Enter. Similarly run the following command:

regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

You're not prompted to add a picture viewer when burning image files to a CD in Windows XP:
