Have been tackling a problem that I appears to find no solution. My CD-RW
drive AND my DVD/CD-RW drive are recognized by BIOS AND Windows Explorer.
That's the good part. However, when I insert a disk into either drive, the
name of the drive in Windows Explorer changes to "CD Drive", and displays the
following message on the desktop:
Message title: Disk is not formatted
"Windows cannot read from this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it
could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."
Have tried the following without success:
Deleted Driver in "Safe Mode"
Switched IDE channels
Switched cable
Erased CMOS
Used only 1 CD-RW drive
Using XP-Pro (updated)
Help is appreciated -- Erik
