CD-RW Stopped Working

's Computer Specifications

Hi i'm am running WIN XP and for some reason my cd-rw
no longer works.I have an ACER 10x8x32 cd-rw and when I
insert a blank cd it dosn't seem to recognise it.I get a
message (please insert blank cd) Can anyone help me please
