I have a desktop that has 4 devices for memory cards.
After I did some updating, each device showed the proper
icon for the porper card, i.e. SmartMediam, MMC/SD,
CFlash and Stick. Both my DVD-RW and CD-RW were fine too,
until I put a CD-RW in my CD drive. The icon changed to
an MMC/SD. Could this be related to Intel Graphics?

Not sure, but you can remove all of them from Device Manager and reboot
and let Windows reinstall/reassign them all. This may be a temporary
fix for the problem.
