I installed a CD-RW drive into my XP Pro PC and it is recognized but when I put in a disc of any sort, it shows only one audio track. All hook-ups are correct (I triple checked all jumpers and even swapped IDE cables). It is slave to DVD-Rom drive that is working fine. This is boggling my mind and even more, exasperating me
The drive came with no drivers and displays in Device Manager as
Artec WRR-52
The MS driver is dated 7/1/2001... I have gone out to Windows Update at least five times and no updated driver for this drive shows up
I'm at my wits' end. If I can't get this resolved... I going to Linux. Please help anybody
