CD-RW in Presario C500 Notebook

Here is my problem:

When I record files to a cd, after about 6 days or so, I'll put the cd in my
laptop, and the pop-up window comes up like the disc has never been burned
to. The files are not being read on the disc. I check the disc in another
computer, and of course they are all there.

There is never problems w/Pre-recorded cd's, just discs I have burned to.

Can someone help please!
