CD-RW not showing up

I am working on a computer that was upgraded to Win 2000
from, what I think is, Win 98. After upgrading, the cd-rw
is not showing and is not able to burn cd's. It was
working before the upgrade. I am thinking that this is a
simple fix. Any help would be great!! Please reply to my
e-mail as I don't know if I can get back to where I am..(I
will put it in my favorites tho!!)
