I had to reformat my hard drive a few months ago. After
reinstalling Windows 2K and all software, I started having
problems with windows recognizing CD-RW drive. Windows
does not see it, does not find it when you use the
Hardware Wizard, etc. It is like it is not even
connected. In fact, it will not even open if you push the
button on it. However, all cables appear to be ok.

I have also had trouble with the DVD drive. It is often
not recognized. However, sometimes I can get Windows to
recognize it if I use the Hardware Wizard. Any help is
appreciated.

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having a similar
problem.
