FORMATTED CD-RW USING InCD. WIND. XP INTERFERS AND SAVES
FILES AS READ ONLY. CANNOT CHANGE ATTRIBUTE TO ARCHIVE
SO CAN REVISE AND SAVE FILES EASILY. WHEN TRIED TO RE-
FORMAT, CD-RW BECAME UNREADABLE IN MY CD WRITER. ONLY
READABLE IN CD ROM DRIVE. HOW CAN I BACKUP MY FILES IN
ARCHIVE ATTRIBUTE?

Please lose the caps. It's considered yelling, is incredibly rude and makes
your posts very hard to read.

This is by design. Files saved to a CD are, by definition, read only. The
burning applet in XP cannot packet-write, so whether you've formatted the
disc with InCD is immaterial. You must save files to the disc using a
third-party application if you wish to packet-write. You will need to copy
the files back to the hard drive if you wish to change the attribute.

Typing in all caps, top-posting and multiple posting?

You are now in every killfile on the planet.

You are a loser.

I didn't realise he'd multiposted - but I'm right with you - the guy's an
idiot!
