cd rw drives

device manager recogonizes my cd rw but it doesn't show
up when I run explorer.

roxio and nero both show the drive but does not recognize
a blank cd or a program cd.

any help would be appreciated

I corrected why explorer could not see the drive, the
drive letter was blanked out, using microsoft power toys
corrected this.
Even though Explorer now sees the drive, the drive still
thinks there is no disc in it when I use Nero or Roxio.

Any ideas anyone
