I was wondering if anyone knew...how many burners may be
installed on a system running Win2k?? I have a burner and
then wanted to install another one on the same IDE cable.
One is just a burner (Sony) the other is a CD-RW/ DVD
combo (Samsung). I can only get the BIOS to recognize one
of them not both. Tried different master/ slave
combinations. Also have two physical hard drives on
primary cable.

Can anyone help???

Got a box here with 2 burners, one on SCSI and the other on IDE. Two on
one IDE header "shouldn't" make any difference, perhaps it's a "problem"
with one of the units not playing nice or a cable location/master-slave
issue.(Master on end, slave in center, 80 conductor cable)
