I have a computer with Windows XP pro and one with W98.
Neither one understands the other's CD-RWs. The Win98
machine has InCD software. Is there any way to make the
W98 machine write in the same format as the XP computer,
or (second choice) are there readers that could be
installed or (third choice) is there a writer that could
be installed in both computers? Any help much appreciated
as this is a MAJOR inconvenience.

I think what you are doing is packet writing, which would be different with
different software. You could use a program like nero on both systems which
can be read by both operating systems nero also support multisession writing
which means you can add tracks to and existing cd without loosing data.

INCD is available to be installed on XP. That way, you would be using the
same software on both PCs.
