I have just upgraded from Windows 98 SE to Windows XP
Professional and as a result my cd/rw bay won't even open.
Is this a driver problem?

Just to get the Cd out you can take a paperclip and push
it into the little hole on the front of your cd drive. I
am having problems with my cd also?

Check in Sytem and drives for a yellow question make for
this CD and if so update the driver.
using a paper click push it in the little hole and see if
it will open that way.
You might try to re-install this CD and see if that
helps.

No its a drive problem. Open My Computer, right click the CD/RW
drive and select 'Eject' from the pop up menu.
