Hi All
I see having 2 drives fail can be quite common for whatever reasons
My problem seems to be a bit different. Recently my Iomega CD-r
and LG DVD burner began to access the discs I placed in them wit
les
ease. I tried using a lense cleaner but to no avail
Now both drives wont access any kind of disc. They don't seem t
spin up when I put a disc in or do so and then just stop
Both are on the same IDE cable so I tried swapping in a new cable
moving them to the other IDE cable and changing slave/master configs
The drives appear in the system devices part just fine and no erro
codes are reported
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very greatfull. I realise th
only solution may be 2 new drives, grrr!

Thank

Have you tried the drives in a different PC?

You do know that your really only need a DVD burner, since a DVD burner
normally can do CD-Rs and CD-RWs.
