I have read through several posts, and none had provided help
When a new or blank dvd is placed in the dvd-rw drive, none of my apps will pick up the new cd
Auto play is enabled, but rarely works, which is fine with me

If it is a app or game cd, it "may" auto launch
In order for new media to be recognized, I have to manually browse into the media
A refresh does not work at all
Even after that, it will still show the media of whatever CD or DVD was in the drive when the system booted up, even if it has been switched out dozens of times
Sometimes I have to reboot to get the new media to be detected.

Any help would be great.

Hi I am glad that I am not the only one with this problem, I will search and if I found something I let you know. I got the same problem since I install new IDE PCI driver, but after uninstalling it again and let only one cdrom on ide on mb this problem remains and I am really wondering why.

I have 3 cd-roms so I test them one by one and all are doing right the same thing - doesnt refresh
