Hello, i was having a problem in which my cd rom would not
read or detect any cds.. everytime i would try to run an
application it would tell me to insert the correct cd or
that there was no disc inserted.. well i tried
uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but i am still
having the same problem, that it won't run the cds. Can
anyone help? Thanx

System restore in SAFE MODE worked for me. Did you
happen to install or uninstall cd burning software?

no i didn't install any software, i was playing a game the
game froze, then after that point on is when the cd rom
would not function...thanx i will try that

Drive could be going bad. Are you able to try another. How old is the
cdrom?

i tried the system restore in safe mode, didn't work
anymore ideas?

i only have one cd rom drive? i have tried many discs and
always it does nothing and doesn't even recognize the
disc..
