The CD-ROM (E) drive which I have been using software in
for a long time has suddenly stopped working. I insert a
CD and it doesnt launch or open the software. It shows
the loading icon on the mouse pointer, and the computer
freezes temporarily, but thats it. When I go into My
Computer and double click the CD-ROM icon it says (Not
Responding) in the my computer window. Anyone know some
possible ways to fix this? If you are kind enough to help

I had a similar problem recently and the only solution
that we finally arrived at was to replace the CD Drive.
The local computer shop said that it could be repaired,
but it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one.
