Any time I put a blank writable cd in my disk drive, after the usual autoplay
loading time, my system restarts. I figured it was a hardware problem
obviously, but it plays all other disks. DVD's, audio cd's, anything that has
some files on it. If I insert a blank disk the system restarts. Any ideas?

In control panel---system---advanced tab, what are you set to do with an
error?

Under the start up and Recover section settings, under system failure, it's
set to automatically restart.

Change it to not restart so that you can capture the error.
