CD-Rom "Removed"!!

I don't know how or why ,but, according to information my CD-Rom drive and
device was removed from my system on 23rd March. And after using System
Restore ( can not restore system back to this date, or earlier) and attemting
to use
Norton Go Back to try and recover device and driver am stumped as towhat to
try next. Any suggestions, please?

Go into the Device Mangler and delete your ATA controllers, then reboot.

Norton "Goback" may have dropped the ball. Perhaps un-installing goback
and add new hardware will get the drive back for you.

Your Upper and Lower Filters are causing this.
Use the fix supplied in the KB' below. They are both the same in both.

Go away. You cause more problems with that . Deleting the ATA Controllers will create more problems for the OP even if it is rebuilt.
