Because yours is NOT a CD-ROM it's a CD-Recorder or CD-R drive.. Which
is what Nathan was refering to as "Nobody uses the right terminology in
here". A CD-ROM drive is a "Compact Disc-Read Only Memory" drive and
therefore incapable of recognizing a blank recordable disc.
