Windows recognizes the cd rom but cd's will not work. When I open thwe cd rom
program it shows a blank sreen, like the cd is empty. This is the error i
get in the event viewer.
The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block

It was working fine until my wife opened a cd with old photos on it. Also in
the event viewer it logged the date as 1/24/2007. I checked the time and date
on my computer and it is correct. Please someone help.

Try to UNistall the CD ROM & restart your computer Windows will find it &

Go Control Panel # system #Hardware #Device Manager # DVD/CD-ROM Then
Unistall it & restart you copmuter .
I hope it fix the problem .
