CD Rom will not read/write

      13th Sep 2008
After installing SP2 the CD Rom will not read/write and freezes the computer
for a while. Then the CDR will disapear from the MY Computer till I
reboot.

How do I fix this?

Try unplugging the computer and then unplugging the CDROM. Plug the
computer back in and boot up. Turn the computer off, unplug it again and
replug the CDROM. Turn the computer on and see if it recognizes the
"new" CDROM.
