CD-ROM not detected.

i have this problem and i'm not sure why. when i go to
load up a game . eg. Warcraft 3. i get an error message
saying: "CD-ROM drive error. Please verify that your
Warcraft 3 disc is in your CD-ROM drive, then click on
retry"

why does this come up and how can i fix it?
