CD ROM-Not ATAPI COMPATIBLE

Hi,

Whenever I try to install A CD Rom Drive on my Second Channel under
W2K I get this Message Drive Not Atapi Compatible.
It doen't make any difference whether I set it as a slave or master
either as a single drive or not.

Please Help!!!!!!!,

Try another drive?
Really, there is not much here to go on, so my first guess would be a
damaged CD drive.
