When I click my CD-Rom in Windows Explorer I get the
message:

"D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function"

and I cannot use it. The same for my floppy disk.

They both work; I can read under DOS and autoboot CDs
start-up. It's some software problem or setting I've
inadvertantly set. Do you know what?

I RESOLVED THE CD-ROM OR FLOPPY INACCESSIBLE PROBLEM (FOR
ME ANYWAY) by uninstalling "Norton Internet Security".

This problem or similar was also reported in the last few
weeks by:

"David E. Oakley" <(E-Mail Removed)> 8-24
"FrankV" <(E-Mail Removed)> 8-30
"Eric S. Schurmann" <(E-Mail Removed)> 9-03
"Fadi" <(E-Mail Removed)> 9-15
"Gregg" <(E-Mail Removed)> 9-17
"Gregg" <(E-Mail Removed)> (same guy?) 9-17

Now I see that "Senator" <(E-Mail Removed)> has much
more info on this in his 2003-9-03 post. He did not use
the keywords "not accessible" and inaccessible. I also
have Nero Burning Rom installed. Hope this helps to point
the way.
