I recently installed a second hard drive, which appears in both windows
explorer and my computer, but now both cd Rom drives are missing in both of
these programs?

Try going to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer
Management. Expand the tree and under Storage, select Disk Management.
Are the CD-ROM's listed? If they are and do not have a drive letter,
you'll need to right-click on each CD-ROM and select Change Drive
Letter and Paths and give each of them a new letter. Please note that
this may mess up any previously installed application that requires
its CD be in the drive to run. It also may mess up the ability to
update or repair previously installed applications.

If, previously, the CD-ROM's were drives D: and E:, but now the new HD
is drive D:, it would probably be a better idea to change the new HD
letter from D: to F: (or the next available letter after E and then
set the CD-ROM's back to D: and E:.
