cd rom drivers

I installed an older version of adaptec cd creators on my Dell
dimension 5150
wich came with newer versions of roxio, since I installed this older versin
on startup came a note that it wont install those drivers. ( upgrate to
soandso, I don't need that)
so i deleted those drivers. now my drive E and D drive
wont work at all, don't even show up in my computer.
I'm lost ,what should or could i do?
any advice appreciated,
