Anybody know whats wrong with my cd drives they will not
autorun all of a sudden it is though someone has turned
off the autorun but is there such a thing any advice
would be grateful

i wish i knew it just seemed to stop a few days ago the
only way i can get cds to run is go into my computer
right click then play

I think you may have misunderstood my previous reply. I wasn't asking you a
question. Go to the link provided and look for "Why Doesn't AutoPlay Work?".
Click on the icon of a book with a question mark on the cover. You will then
see some possible solutions.

Q. Can you see the cd /dvd in the drive at all in the my
computer panel
Q when you rt click and go to properties can u see the
volume label and other info.

My computer manufacturer evesham got me to uninstall both
drives in device manager and then restart system
on restart should get new hardware detected after this
done then u may need to restart again. This worked a few
times 4 me . Also try starting up in safety mode cd
should play ( i presume ur O S is XP) Best of luck
