I've tried installing Quickbooks I but in the CD and nothing happens. I went
into run and tried that way too. I've been having this problem with anything
I've tried to install with a CD. What else can I do.

Go into Device Manager and see if the CD Drive is listed there. If it is with
a yellow ?, it wants an updated driver. Right-click on it, select properties,
and go from there.
Or go to the CDss manufacture site for more info about it.

i can tell you this,if you have any software or cd players or dvd
players, built before windows vista was made.you need new, software.i had to go
out and buy a new dvd burner, just to get the new roxio software,so my old cd
and dvd burner would work.just about all of my software is now no good with
vista.microsoft is a greedy company.some companys will give you free up
graded software,some want.

I ran into the same problem, but when I went to update the driver, it said
that it already had an updated version. The drive still doesn't work.
If I uninstall the driver for the cd-rom, will I have the ability to
reinstall it?
