Usually there is software from the CD maker that allows the CD-RW to be used
like a floppy drive.
I don't believe it works with CD-R only CD-RW. But I may remember wrong...
As I understand it allows writing to the CD in an open session format.
There are 2 versions I am familiar with, InCD and Direct CD.
They are from different providers, but both do essentially the same
function.
